Veterans Day IGI’s optional team honored one of their own! To his surprise Navy Veteran and IGI cheer/tumbling coach Jordan Bowman was pulled from his class. He asked if he did something wrong? I replied ” No, the team girls would like to say something to you ” and all at once they replied ” Thank you for your serve and for serving our country! “…..It was a great day!
IGI’s Level 10 National Bar Champion Lexi Funk and coach Todd had a wonderful time on the Region 5 All-Star trip! On Monday they arrived in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic. For 3 of the days the group worked out and trained at their National Training Center. To Todd’s surprise it was the same coliseum that was used in the 2003 Pan American Games where Todd and former IGI Elite gymnast Liz Tricase came to with the US National Team! The Region 5 Dream Team trained along side their gymnasts. Their goal was to helping the gymnasts and coaches improve the sport in their country. Which everyone agreed was the best part of the trip! Congratulations to Lexi on making the Region 5 All Star Team trip!!!

Attention IGI Families,
As many of you know Trish Williams (Haylee Williams’s Mom) has been in an ongoing health battle. She is now back from the Mayo Clinic on Rochester, Minnesota and is in the next step of the recovery process back to “normalcy.” Trish needs her brain stimulated by familiar and friendly faces in her life. She is now staying at the Manor Care at 715 Central in Arlington Heights, IL (across from Northwest Community Hospital), where the visiting hours are 24/7. The family encourages all gymnasts and their parents that care to please visit and engage Trish to try to stimulate her brain to once again speak to us all and let us know what is going on so we can all help her be Haylee’s and her other three children’s fantastic mom as well as Rick’s awesome wife once again. The family believes that this can be accomplished with familiar photos, music, etc. that she loves and encouragement from all friends and family that engage Trish at this time. Please continue to keep Trish and her family in your prayers.
For those who are interested please check out the “Team Trish” page for updates ans ways to help the family in this difficult time.
