IGI will be closed:

Friday – May 25
Saturday – May 26
Sunday – May 27
Monday – May 28 (Memorial Day)
There is no Open Gym on Friday – May 25 or Sunday – May 27

Plaza Drive will be closed, East of IGI, on the Blackhawk Drive Side on Thursday, May 24. Access to IGI will only be from the West, from Burr Oak or Cass Avenue.

Term 6 Schedule Available

The Term 6 (June 25 – August 18) Gymnastics Schedule and Cheer Schedule are now available. Re-Enrollment, for current students to guarantee their current spot, runs through May 7. There will be No Classes on June 17-June 21 & July 4, 2012.

IGI at Nationals

IGI wish’s to congratulate it’s Level 9 an 10 gymnasts heading to Nationals this spring! Jill Hoffman competes at Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Landover, Maryland on May 5th. Megan Ruzicka will also be attending as the Second Alternate.

Level 10 Nationals will be held in Hampton, Virginia May 11-12. IGI qualified: Alexis Cappalli, Nicole Gendusa, Eileen Malecki, Hayley Sanzotti, and Haley Scaman to the Region 5 Team!

Mandy Klun is also the First Alternate, and we have Kylie Clark and Ryann Conners competing in the National Invitational Tournament being held Sunday – May 13th.

The Term 5 Gymnastics Schedule Available

The Term 5 Gymnastics Schedule and the Term 5 Cheer Schedule are now available. Term 5 is April 23 – June 16, 2012. Re-Enrollment for current students to guarantee their current spot, runs through April 2-7. New Students for Term 5, may begin registering on April 8th.

In observance of Good Friday on April 6th:

We will not be holding Recreational & Preschool Classes (please call the front desk to schedule a make-up).
The 11:00 am Preschool Open Gym is also canceled.
We will be running our Evening – All Ages – Open Gym at 7:30pm.
Saturday morning classes will run as normal.

IGI is Hosting the World’s Largest Gymnastics Meet

The 14th Annual Chicago Style Gymnastics Meet will held this weekend at Navy Pier. Chicago Style is the world’s largest gymnastics meet and features teams from Mexico, Bermuda, as well as the entire United States. There is a College competition on Friday night with the University of Illinois, Boise State, Missouri, and UCLA. The premier session on Saturday evening includes some of the US’s top up and coming gymnasts. For more information click on the Chicago Style logo.

Lexi Cappalli Qualifies to the Nastia Luikin Cup

IGI Level 10 gymnast Lexi Cappalli has qualified to the 2012 Nastia Liukin Cup, which will be held March 2nd at Madison Square Garden. She posted a 37.650 All-Around at the Circle of Stars Competition last weekend in Indianapolis. Lexi, a high school senior, is also the recipient of a full gymnastics scholarship to the University of North Carolinia. Congrats Lexi!!!
